JB Script 2.0: The Disney Bros

Description

The Disneyland Role Play forum may be kaput, but it had inspired me to make something out of some of the ideas I nursed from the site: A complete remake of the Johnny Briz pilot.

I wanted to do this ever since I set up the Johnny Briz site, because the story just takes a sharp left turn into wackyness with the CWC clone director. What I wanted to do is to make everything "on property" as the Castmembers say, and that includes the antagonists.

I think the main reason why I didn't is because I wanted to have it so that it's portable away from being a Disney Fanfict, but now I thought; what the hell? I want to use Johnny to attract fans of ~twisted-wind, ~cici-chi, *Tell-Me-Lies and other well known Mouskedeviants. And if the wishing stars align just right, maybe even have Bob Iger go, "Hey, these guys here seem to have something going here."

While JB's pilot is still an script-based parable on the state of the Animation Industry here today, I also want to make a story for the Bronies set. I want to have people who actually remember the classic Disney cartoons--not too many of them out there unless you count You Tube and Bittorrent--would see this story, enjoy it, and even see something that captures the quality and charm of the cartons of old but with a modern spin.

You can see the spin with it's title: "The New Disney Brothers present, The Ballad of Johnny Briz."

Yes, the two main characters in the story isn't Johnny himself, it's Mickey and his Older Brother. The premise is familiar for those who seen the JB site: Oswald gets his heart back thanks to Epic Mickey and the Internet, and finds not just himself, but all of Wasteland, materializing in the story's 'real world,' at a northeastern section of "Walt Disney World." Recristened Os-Town, it became sort of a private section of the resourt, being out of the way of the normal traffic, as well as a place for the cartoon characters can live and kick back. It also has a lot of promise for Johnny's Freerunning. As for Oswald, he joins Mickey as Partners, providing the cool-headed Roy to Mickey's idealistic Walt.

When Johnny appears, Mickey sees him as a perfect Mousketeer ("He's got his own ears and everything!") and wants to promote him as such. But Oswald is more wary of the human execs and the less scruptious folk in the company. He can understand Johnny's Naievte, and he doesn't want what happened to him to happen to "The Kid."

The script is in it's first stages, which I'm working with an inner circle of friends I found in the RP Forum. I'm sure you'll see more from this project as time goes on.

Oh, and by the way: The Characters in this pic, © Walt Disney. I just did the artpiece.
