I got invited to 's D&D games and got into a 4ED campaign in Roll20 . There are several select archetypes I use in this particular version, and one favorite is the Pacifist Healer, or White Mage. I trade away attacking for extra healing, which really makes me a vital support player. (This is why I refer to the cleric as the Bass Player in a band. Not the most glamorous, but very essential.)
Also, since he's more apt to accept Anthro characters in there, I made him a Kitsune. Actually a 'Hengeyokai Fox' but who am I kidding here. In the campaign, he was found by a sect of peaceful healing clerics and raised to be one of them. His traditional adventuring time doubles as the proverbial rite of passage as well as a discovery over who he really is and find his lost heritage.

If it's D&D with pure anthros that you want, another good way to do it is with 3rd and 3.5 Edition's book, "Savage Species". Aside from many pages on playing as a monster of your choice from the monster manual, there is a section where you can choose to create an anthropomorphic character with adjustments based on the base species chosen off a chart. I think free game manuals and the hypertext d20 websites has copies available for download or reading for that.
