Why thank you. I was hoping that I would indeed show an improvement, at least from my fanfict years if now from the previous attempt at Scarlet's story.
In the first panel, you drew the angle on the countertop a little severe, as well as the other objects around it. It looks at though he is leaning backwards a little bit.

Question: What do you mean "does this make for a better start and character development than Jim?" Did you mean FOR Jim?
'Precinct', 'guarantee', and 'for.' : Thank for letting me know. I'll make the correction.
As for the severe angle, it must be something to do with the perspective. I was trying to give the point of view that are close up and looking at Jim. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. I'll be keeping an eye on this.

I like how quickly you reply. I see that you're starting to turn away from comics in favor of books and the like, I wish you the best of luck. I will miss seeing your comics as I'm a visual type of person. Johnny B. sure is charming as a character.
I often get on here often to catch up on the deviants I'm watching. Thanks for the good words and I hope you become a reader of my novels. Oh, and Johnny B? I had a script done for him during April and I'll be working it into a book later on this year.
wow, your skill really improved.
